When asked to photograph Tomea with her daughter Lexi, I didn't realize the emotional voyage this would take me through. Shot after shot, I was reminded of days spent with my own mother as a child and the intense love that we shared, and still share, with one another.
Photography allows one to bottle memories for generations to come. It gives us an opportunity to freeze time so that we can one day return to those moments and share them with those who were not there to experience them.
