The Spunky, Sassy, Sharp, & Sophisticated Chelsea Bedford

It's rare that I run across a student as sharp as Chelsea. From the moment she contacted me about her senior photos, I could see Chelsea's strong sense of direction and identity. She had a game plan for her senior photo shoot. Creative ideas flowed off her brain as she told me what she wanted to accomplish. Equipped with a colorful collection of Hollister® shirts, a sassy 1920s inspired dress, and all the Juicy Couture® you could ask for, we hit the streets of Downtown Dallas for a senior shoot unlike any I've done to date.

Gateway Scholarship Recipients!

I am elated to announce the 2011 Gateway Designs & Photography Scholarship Recipients. 

First place: Mariah Williams for her vision for the non-profit organization “Giving Teens Their Time!" 

Second place: Jasmine McKeown for her vision for a Christian Children’s Hospital for the terminally ill.

Gateway sponsors its 2nd Annual Family Easter Egg Hunt!

Gateway is hosting our 2nd Annual Family Easter Egg Hunt!

Cost: Free!

Each family will receive an Easter basket and will go around the park in search of eggs, competing against the other families. The family that finds the most eggs will receive a prize from Gateway Designs & Photography!

A portrait station will be set up for families, children, and individuals to take pictures, but no purchase is required to participate in the hunt.

Easter Photo Packages include (2) 8x10s, (4) 5x7s, and 40 wallets and are only $50. 8x10s can be purchased separately for $15.

Please bring the kids out and support Gateway's second Easter event!

Kessa & Family: Adventure at the Arboretum!

Kessa is one of my favorite people in the world. She's always willing to help with whatever project needs to be done, and since she's the owner of Slice of Heaven Bakery, her assistance usually means yummies are coming our way! We had so much fun on her family photo shoot trekking through the Dallas Arboretum, and Kessa's 3 inch stilettos seemed like tennis shoes, as fast as she was moving! Quincy, Kessa & Stan's oldest, gave me a run for my money when we went off on his "James Bond" photo shoot. He came fully equipped with a gun and ammo- all foam, of course. Baby Fallon was so adorable as she played discovery in the gardens, and Kessa & Stan displayed so much love in their sweetheart shots. I hope you enjoy these captured moments as much as I did.

 

"Color Girls" - Celebrating years of friendship, love, & vibrancy...

When Tamara approached me about photographing her and her friends for her birthday, I thought it was a great idea! Then she told me the total number... 14! Whoa! I knew that would be a big shoot with lots of prep work and a limited time frame, but I was up for the challenge. One by one all fourteen ladies arrived, each glowing in her assigned color. Each lady had a different style, look, and personality, and ROCKED it wholeheartedly. It was refreshing to see each woman own the stage in her individual shoot and to see the bond between sorority sisters, childhood friends, church members and many other different types of bonds. By the end of the 2 hour long shoot, I realized that I hadn't had that much fun in a long time. Enjoy the sassy, jazzy, and classy shots I captured. [Makeup: LaTosha Dorsey]
